How do I get to the apartment?

BY CAR: You´ll find most of the rent a car offices at the airport. It’s easy to park on the street around the apartment.

BY TAXI: Official taxis will be at the airport. Around 50 € and travel time will be around 25 minutes.

BY BUS: From the airport, take lines 66, 5 or 90. Ticket costs around 5€. You will find the bus stops outside the airport, upstairs, next to the parking. Travel time will be around 45 minutes.

On the Global bus webpage you’ll  find timetables and routes of all lines to get around the island, especially those that communicate with the airport.
You pay the driver directly. Large bags can be placed in the lower compartment of the bus.
You have to get off at “Rey Carlos” stop. That’s the hotel in front of the apartments. Previous stop is “Centro Comercial CITA”. On the roundabout there’s a restaurant “El Poncho”. Right in front, you’ll see a SPAR supermarket. Walk down the stairs, keep walking to your right and you’ll find the PARTY PARTY store. The entrance is next to Gordillo Supermarket. Open the door inserting the card into the box on your left. Take the lift to the 3rd floor, go to your right and find apartment 328.

¿Cómo llego al apartamento?

EN COCHE: Puedes alquilar un coche en el aeropuerto. Es fácil encontrar sitio para aparcar cerca del apartamento.

EN TAXI: Los taxis oficiales están en el aeropuerto. El coste será alrededor de unos 50€ y tardará unos 25 minutos.

EN BUS: desde el aeropuerto, coge líneas 66, 5 or 90. El ticket cuesta alrededor de 5€. Encontrarás las paradas de autobus, fuera del aeropuerto, arriba, junto al parking, .

En la página web de Global encontrarás horarios y rutas de todas las líneas que circulan por la isla, especialmente las que comunican con el aeropuerto.
Pagas directamente al conductor. Las maletas grandes pueden colocarse en el compartimento inferior del autobus.
La parada es “Rey Carlos”, el nombre del hotel frente a los apartamentos. La parada anterior es “Centro Comercial CITA”. En la rotonda está el restaurante “El Poncho”. Justo enfrente, verás el supermercado SPAR. Bajando las escaleras, sigue la calle hacia la derecha hasta encontrar el local PARTY PARTY. La entrada está junto al Supermercado Gordillo. Abre la puerta introduciendo la tarjeta en la cajita a tu izquierda. Coge el ascensor hasta el 3er piso, sal a la derecha y busca el apartamento 328.

Can I use the Pool and the tennis court?

You’re welcome to use the pool at designated times. Please ask in reception about the tennis court.

Is someone coming to clean up and change the towels?

The apartment is cleaned up and prepared right before your check in with clean bed sheets and towels. You’ll get extra bed linen if you stay long. You’re responsible for the clothe changing and cleaning during your stay.

Where do I take the rubbish out?

The rubbish room is outside, next to the stairs. You’ll need the card to open the door.

Where do I leave the keys last day?

Please leave keys inside the apartment and close the door behind you. Please make sure sliding windows are closed.

¿Puedo utilizar la piscina y la pista de tenis?

Te invitamos utilizar la piscina en las horas designadas. Por favor, pregunta en recepción porla pista de tenis.

¿Viene alguien a limpiar y cambiar sábanas?

Encontrarás el apartamento limpio y preparado para tu entrada con sábanas y toallas limpias. Encontrarás ropa extra si tu estancia es larga. Eres responsable del cambio de ropa y la limpieza durante tu estancia.

¿Dónde tiro la basura?

La sala de basura está afuera, junto a las escaleras. Utiliza la tarjeta para abrir la puerta.

¿Dónde dejo las llaves el día de salida?

Por favor, deja las llaves dentro del apartamento y cierra la puerta. Por favor, asgúrate de que las ventanas correderas están cerradas.

What should I ask at the restaurant?

If it’s your first visit to the island and never tried the food, here are some advises:

Papas arrugadas Small potatoes boiled in very salty water. The skin is wrinkled and the inside very tasty. Served with mojo rojo (sauce made of oil, red pepper and spices).
Potaje Stew, the most popular is berros (watercress). Served with gofio escaldado and fresh cheese.
Ropa vieja Meat stew with cheakpeas, spices, fried potatoes and other ingredients. Meat can be lamb or octopus.
Pulpo frito Fried octopus, served with mojo verde.
Pata asada Oven cooked pork leg. Dish or sandwich. (try the best one at Yasmina. Ask your sandwich with alioli and queso tierno (garlic mayonese and fresh cheese).

Qué plato pido en un restaurante?

Si es tu primer visita a la isla y nunca probaste la comida canaria, aquí van algunos consejos:

Papas arrugadas El agua en las que se cuecen tienen muchísima sal. Esto hace que la piel se arrugue, y el interior quede sabroso pero no salado. Se acompaña con mojo canario, generalmente el rojo. El mojo verde acompaña pescados.
Potaje El más popular es de berro. Se acompaña con gofio escaldado y queso fresco.
Ropa vieja Cocido de carne con garbanzos, especias, papas y otros ingredientes. La carne puede ser cordero o pulpo.
Pulpo frito Acompañado de mojo verde.
Pata asada Pata de cerdo asada al horno. En plato o bocadillo. (prueba el mejor bocadillo en Yasmina. Pide tu bocadillo de pata con queso tierno y alioli).

Gofio Flour from toasted corn. There are many products elaborated with this product, like mousse de gofio, queso con gofio…
The traditional way to consume it is:
Gofio escaldado gofio diluted in stock forming a dough. usually eaten with red onion.
Gofio amasado gofio kneaded with water forming balls, eaten as a substitute of bread.
Gofio with milk a couple of teablespoons of gofio in a cup of milk. For breakfast.
Plátano de Canarias Smaller than the banana and with the characteristics brown specks.
Tomato Along with the plátano, is the star product of the islands.
Tropical fruits Manga, papaya, pineapple or avocado.
Cheeses Goat, cow and vegetal rennet: Queso majorero, queso fresco o queso Flor de Guía.
Fish and seafood At the fisher villages ask for the autochtonous fish: vieja, sama, cherne, mero, choco, calamar, tuna and octopus; fried, grilled or coated way.

Gofio Harina de maíz tostado. Existen muchos productos elaborados con este producto, como mousse de gofio, queso con gofio…
Tradicionalmente se consume como:
Gofio escaldado gofio diluido en caldo formando una pasta. Se suele comer con cebolla roja.
Gofio amasado se amasa el gofio con agua y se hacen bolas; sirve de sustituto al pan.
Gofio con leche se agrega unas cucharadas de gofio a una taza de leche. Para el desayuno.
Plátano de Canarias Más pequeño y con motitas lo distingue de la banana.
Tomate Junto con la banana es el cultivo estrella de las islas.
Frutas tropicales Manga, papaya, piña o aguacate.
Pescado o marisco En los pueblos pesqueros pide los pescados autóctonos: vieja, sama, cherne, mero, choco, calamar, atún y pulpo; frito, al grill o empanado.
Quesos De cabra, de vaca y con cuajo vegetal: Queso majorero, queso fresco o queso Flor de Guía.
