Today, on April 23 is celebrated around the world the International Book Day. The connection between 23 April and books was first made in 1923 by booksellers in Catalonia as a way to honour the author Miguel de Cervantes, who died on this date. Also on April 23 born – or died – other prominent authors such as Shakespeare, Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo. The original idea of the celebration of World Book Day was by Valencian writer Vicente Clavel Andrés, proposing it to the Chamber of the Book of Barcelona in 1923 and approved by King Alfonso XIII of Spain in 1926. On October 7, 1926 It was the first Book Day, shortly after, in 1930, the date of April 23 as World Book Day, which this day coincides with Sant Jordi definitively establishes – St. George, patron of Germany, Aragón, Bulgaria, Catalonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, England, Lebanon, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia and Mexico, and it is traditional for the lovers and loved ones a rose and a book exchange.

In 1995 UNESCO decided that the World Book and Copyright Day would be celebrated on 23 April. World Book and Copyright Day symbolizes support for liberty of thought and freedom of information. Books represented the very concept of freedom of information and this date is symbolic for world literature. It was chosen to pay tribute to the book world and their authors, and encourage everyone, especially the young, to discover the pleasure of reading and respect the irreplaceable contribution of creators to the social and cultural progress.

La conexión entre el 23 de abril y los libros se hizo por primera vez en 1923 por los libreros de Cataluña como una manera de honrar al autor Miguel de Cervantes, que murió en esta fecha. También el 23 de abril nacieron – o murieron – otros escritores eminentes como Shakespeare, Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla y Manuel Mejía Vallejo. La idea original de la celebración del Día del Libro fue del escritor valenciano Vicente Clavel Andrés, proponiéndola a la Cámara del Libro de Barcelona en 1923 y aprobado por el rey Alfonso XIII de España en 1926. El 7 de octubre 1926 se el primer día del libro, poco después, en 1930, la fecha del 23 de abril como Día Mundial del Libro, que este día coincide con Sant Jordi definitivamente establecido – San Jorge, patrón de Alemania, Aragón, Bulgaria, Cataluña, Etiopía, Georgia, Grecia , Inglaterra, Líbano, Lituania, Países Bajos, Portugal, Eslovenia y México, y es tradicional para los amantes y amados una rosa y un intercambio de libros.

En 1995 la UNESCO decidió que el Día Mundial del Libro y Derecho de Autor se celebrara el 23 de abril. El Día Internacional del Libro simboliza el apoyo a la libertad de pensamiento y la libertad de información. Los libros representan el mismo concepto de la libertad de información y esta fecha es simbólica para la literatura universal. Fue elegido para rendir homenaje al mundo del libro y sus autores, y alentar a todos, especialmente a los jóvenes, a descubrir el placer de la lectura y respetar la irreemplazable contribución de los creadores al progreso social y cultural.

A mí me gustaría celebrar este día con todos los huéspedes que cogieron, dejaron, leyeron y disfrutaron un libro tumbados en el sol.

Un coqueto apartamento a tan sólo 10 minutos andando del Centro Comercial Anexo II, en la misma playa, con todo lo que necesitas tener a mano para unas vacaciones inolvidables. Sobre la Av. Italia, muy cerquita de los Centros Comerciales Metro, Plaza y Kasbah, donde abunda la oferta de restaurantes, bares, discotecas, supermercados y demás tiendas.

Hay gente que prefiere un turismo más local, mezclarse con los lugareños, buscar playas más tranquilas o probar la gastronomía de la isla sin pasar por un “restaurante típico”. Arinaga reúne perfectamente esas características, conjugando lo práctico con lo original, lo auténtico con lo sorprendente.

Los dos apartamentos están muy bien situados. Uno de ellos en una ubicación de lujo, frente a la piscina natural Zoco del Negro. Resguardada del viento y las olas, es perfecta para los baños matutinos o visitar con niños. El otro esta muy cerquita, en línea recta al muelle. Supermercados, zona peatonal, bares, restaurantes y el paseo marítimo de casi 2 km para pasear, hacer ejercicio y llenar los pulmones de saludable aire marino.
