Leo los estados en las redes sociales de mis amigos que viven en España y el resto de Europa y todos hablan del frío, la nieve y el cielo cubierto. No me extraña en absoluto que intenten huir de sus casas y disfrutar -aunque solo sea una semana- del buen tiempo en Gran Canaria. Desde octubre que no dejo de recibir huéspedes. Algunos incluso han pasado aquí Navidad y recibido el 2015 con los pies en la arena de alguna playa. Y algunos de ellos me sorprenden con pequeños regalitos o notitas, que a mí me parecen de lo más amorosos. Por eso quiero agradecer a Sonja, Floor, Tinca, Thomas, Brenda, Joaquín, Birgit, Laila, Angel, Bjöern, Patrick, Mark, Fernando, Mariluz, Harri, Aggie, Ivan, Brigitte, Ana María, Karl, Jan, Heinz, Alvaro, Arnaud, Mads, Valya, Kathrin, Hans, Maxim y Nerina, entre otros. A todos ellos, gracias por haberme elegido como anfitriona para recibirlos en esta preciosa isla.

I read the status on the social networks of my friends who live in Spain and the rest of Europe and they all talk about the cold, snowy weather and cloudy skies. I’m not surprised at all they try flee their homes and enjoy – at least a week- the good weather in Gran Canaria. Since October I keep receiving guests. Some have even spent Christmas here and received the 2015 with wet feet in some sandy beach. And some of them surprised me with small gifts or little notes, which I found so cute.
