Cookie policy

Information about cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on the device when visiting a website. They allow remembering information about browsing, preferences or selected options. The browser's local and session storage are similar technologies that can also store information on the device.

This policy includes the cookies and similar technologies used on Gran Canaria Stay (https://gran-canaria-stay.com/) and separately describes those observed when accessing its Hotelgest booking engine.

Cookies covered by the regulation and exempt cookies

According to article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary require prior information and consent.

Exempt are those used exclusively to transmit a communication or provide a service expressly requested by the user. A security purpose does not automatically make any third‑party technology necessary for this site.

You can accept, reject or configure optional technologies. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent. Rejection does not prevent viewing the website, although optional external content may remain disabled.

Types of cookies and similar technologies

By purpose: technical and security, for operation and protection against abuse; and preferences and external content, to remember choices and enable third‑party services such as maps.

By ownership: first‑party, managed by the site publisher, or third‑party, managed by other entities. By duration: session or persistent. Local storage does not necessarily include an automatic expiration; session storage is tied to the tab session.

Processing of personal data

Responsible: Martell Lozano, S. L. (Gran Canaria Stay), CIF B35869254, calle Rafael Martell Rodríguez, 1, 35240, Carrizal de Ingenio, Las Palmas. Contact: hola@gran-canaria-stay.com.

Purposes and legal basis: operation and security of the requested services, based on the execution of the contract or the legitimate interest in protecting them; and, with your consent, optional preferences and external content. The LSSI consent exemption for necessary technologies does not remove data protection obligations.

Conservation: the duration in the browser is indicated in the following tables. It may differ from the period during which providers retain the information obtained, described in their policies.

Cookies observed in navigation

The inventory collects the technologies observed on September 9, 2026 in the test version of the web and in the booking tour. Your presence may vary with the browser, preferences and modifications of the Services. The presence of a Google cookie does not imply that Gran Canaria Stay uses Google Analytics.

Observed storage in the HotelGest engine

When consulting availability at bookings.hotelgest.com, the following Google keys were observed. They are included as similar technologies, not as HTTP cookies.

No entries were observed in the local or session storage of bookings.hotelgest.com in the captures provided.

The reservation engine is provided in a different domain. The preferences chosen on this website are not automatically transferred to HotelGest: it must provide the controls that appropriate for their own optional technologies.

international suppliers and transfers

External services can receive technical data, such as IP address, when your resources are loaded. Google intervenes and, for Pexels resources, its Cloudflare security services. Its policies detail the corresponding international treatments and transfers:

Google reports international treatments and the use of adequacy decisions, the EU-EE data privacy framework. USA for the entities and operations covered and contractual clauses when necessary. The specific guarantees of the other services must correspond to their effective configuration and contracting.

Hotelgest is provided by CLOUDSOFT PMS, S. L., based in Andorra. The transfer to Andorra is covered by Decision 2010/625/EU adequacy. This does not automatically extend that coverage to subsequent transfers by other providers. You can request information about the applicable guarantees at hola@gran-canaria-stay.com.

How to accept, reject or change your choice

In the initial notice you can choose “Accept All”, “Reject Optionals” or “Configure”. Not necessary options will be disabled until you authorize them. From the permanent link "Set up cookies" you can modify your choice or withdraw the consent with the same ease with which you granted it.

You can also delete cookies and storage from your browser's privacy settings. The withdrawal of consent stops future uses subject to it, but does not affect the legality of the previous treatments. Erasing third party data may require using the browser controls.
